About Corona FootVolley

Footvolley (Futevólei in Protégées) emerged on the beaches of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, in the mid-1960s with informal rules, spreading to Brazilian cities such as Recife, Salvador, Santos, and Florianopolis in the 1970s. It was only in the 1980s that FootVolley became popular all over Brazil.

Footvolley started growing internationally in the 1990s when amateur Brazilian athletes took Footvolley to different parts of the world (including the US, Europe and Asia) gaining the admiration of local athletes.

Today, Footvolley is played on beaches all over the world, imitating beach conditions in those countries not blessed with a beach.
